Amber Renee Peterson of Gulfport, Mississippi, is a young passionate artist who currently attends the University of Southern Mississippi, pursuing her career in public relations and minor in marketing.

Since Amber was a young girl she has always had a passion for art. She has an interest in various mediums of art. She works with acrylics, watercolor, oil pastels, chalk pastels, pencil, and pen and ink. She won numerous art awards during her years of high school at St. John High School, and one of her great achievements was placing fourth in the Gene Taylor Congressional Art Competition.

Amber is honored to say she has been the chair of the "Gifted Hands" Charity Art Auction for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She collected hundreds of art work from all over the U.S., and even donated several of her own pieces to be auctioned off. The successful event raised over the goal amount which went towards a young girl's wish. Her wish was to have her very own art studio.

Amber believes each artist has their own unique way of painting, and it brings out an artist's personality when they paint. It's as if a piece of the artist is in the painting.
