Although wheel-thrown and altered clay is his area of expertise, Kevin enjoys working with a wide variety of artistic outlets, some of which are painting, woodturning, graphic design, printmaking, and stained glass. Kevin once stated, “I have yet to find a medium that stunts my creativity.”
Kevin has worked with many individuals to bring art education and appreciation into the community. He has worked with Master Potter Jimmy and his son Peter Anderson Jr., in the preservation of the life and work of Master Potter Peter Anderson of Ocean Springs. Kevin has worked for the George Ohr Museum’s “Mud Daubers” art camp in the introduction of arts and craft to children.
Kevin’s art philosophy is summed up in his favorite quote:
“First acquire an infallible technique,
then open yourself to inspiration”

| Formation 4 is a single towering column with a bulbed and skirted bottom. It has a firing fracture that runs around the body, but it has been fixed and does not harm the integrity of its strength. |

| This beautifully bold work was constructed with 6 large wheel-thrown cylinders, three of which form the body and the other three (texturally different), protrude from the top. Originally made in the Southwestern Series but now because of its contemporary appeal, it now stands alone in the Salted Work Series. |
