 Growing up as inner city kid in Chicago was difficult, but it also had its benefits. When I was in the 3rd grade, Chicago Public Schools and the Art Institute of Chicago held an art competition that selected one student from each of the city’s Elementary and High Schools, to participate in a Summer Art Program.
