 By focusing on painting people in snap-shot situations, Sadako captures the character or soul of the subject. Painting is a visual record of “Life.” Sadako finds life in activities rather than formal sitting situations. Yet her interests for subject matter and medium, due much to her life of post-Katrina, have expanded from figure painting to anything she encounters in her life with any medium she acquires which she feels is important to record. Sadako continues working on several series. They are; Composition with Figure, Cityscape, Ballerina, Garden, Painted Ladies, Gosho (Nichiren Buddhism) and Cow Series. Click for more ... |
